Can you spot the 'invisible animal'? Incredible images show nature's disappearing act when predators are near
- These animals are trying their utmost to fool predators by blending into landscapes all over the world
- They were taken by photographer Art Wolfe over a period of 35 years, for his work 'Vanishing Act'
Whether they are hunters or the hunted, these cunning animals are all masters of disguise who can fool even the most beady-eyed passer by into believing they are not there.
Some hide under lily pads, some dissolve into the bark of a tree while others slip seamlessly into the snow, either to hide from a hungry predator or silently stalk an unwitting prey.
But the one thing from which they cannot hide is the all-seeing camera lens of photographer Art Wolfe.
He has spent over 35 years roaming the deserts of Africa, the rainforests of South America, the mountains of the United States and snow plains of Canada to capture wildlife at its most invisible.
It's white in front of you! A willow ptarmigan in winter plumage, hidden on a brushy slope near Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. The animals are trying their utmost to fool predators but that's not enough to deceive international photographer Art WolfeUrban Camouflage
Blending right in: 'Urban camouflage' artist paints models from head-to-toe to hide them against taxis, bus seats... and a fruit and veg stall
It's difficult enough getting a bus seat at the best of times without having to check if these cunningly camouflaged commuters are on board.
Bus passengers were given a well-hidden surprise on this journey thanks to the cleverly painted subjects who had been especially coloured to completely blend in with their surroundings.
Only eagle-eyed travellers on the bus would have spotted the women on the back seat, whose torso, chest and thighs had been covered in paint the exact same shade of red as the bus seat she was using.
Doing anything for a free bus fare: Some commuters on this bus appeared completely unaware of the well-camouflaged traveller riding with them on the back seatCamouflage Houses
Casa do Penedo, Fafe Mountains, Portugal

This unbelievable structure is called A Casa do Penedo, or The House of Stone, and is located in the Fafe mountains of northern Portugal. It was built in 1974 between four large boulders naturally found on the site. Believe it or not, the stone house has 2 stories, a swimming pool and fireplace, serving as a family retreat for many years.
