See a Possibility

There was a multi-national company making shoes. In order to assess the level of demand for their shoes, the Director of the company deputed a manager to a country in Africa. The manager cut short his tour with a report, `We cannot sell any shoes in that country!' When asked for an explanation, he said, `People walk bare footed; No one wears shoes there. Hence no potential.'

The Director was not a man to accept `No' for an answer. So he sent another man to study the situation. On his return, jumping with great joy, he declared, `There is a huge market for our shoes in that country!'

`How is that?' asked the Director.
`People walk bare footed; no one wears shoes in the whole country! Hence huge potential for our product' was the reply.

This is what we have to learn from the above story. Every person's experience is different in situations like work, trade, home But, all experiences can be categorized into two types  good and bad. Whatever the experience, if a lesson can be learnt from it, it is a good one!

Thomas Alva Edison, invented the electric bulb, did not succeed in his very first attempt. He invented it only after almost one thousand failures. Someone once asked him, `You made one thousand experiments. Out of them, 999 failed and only one succeeded. Isn't it?

For that, his reply was, `How can you say that I did not find out anything during 999 experiments? To invent one working bulb, I learnt how not to make 999 non-working ones!'

In every situation, see a possibility; like the manager saw the possibility of selling shoes in a place where people were not wearing shoes.

14 Fabulous Pictures Of Animals In A Womb

The uterus (from Latin “uterus” (plural uteruses or uteri) or womb is a major female hormone-responsive reproductive sex organ of most mammals including humans. Ground-breaking photographic techniques, plus state-of-the-art graphics, 4-D scanning techniques and the most sophisticated natural history models ever, have all been used to provide an unparalleled glimpse into a world that few of us would ever expect to see. For the first time ever, we can follow the embryonic journey of different animals like kangaroo, the lemon shark, the Emperor penguin… And one of the most jaw-dropping sequences is a glimpse of the joey just before he is born – a mass of kicking legs and punching arms, raring to go.

10 Devastating Natural Disasters

Natural disasters are terrifying, destructive and devastating forces of nature. They have affected millions of people over the course of history and have caused mess, mourning, grief, destruction and turmoil wherever they go. Despite this, there is still something that fascinates us about events such as these.

1. 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami
The Indian Ocean Tsunami took place on boxing day 2004. The huge 30m (98ft) tsunami was caused by an earthquake underneath the Indian Ocean, the epicentre being off of the west coast of Sumatra.
The magnitude of the earthquake itself was measured at 9.1-9.3, the third largest earthquake to ever have been recorded on a seismograph. The earthquake was so powerful and long-lasting that it was able to vibrate the entire planet by a centimetre, and caused other smaller earthquakes around the globe.

Indonesia was the hardest-hit country, followed by Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand. This monstrous force of nature claimed over 230,000 lives in fourteen different countries. More than $14 billion dollars were donated by the rest of the world in humanitarian aid.

The Salesman & The Farmer

A farmer went to town to buy a pickup truck that he saw advertised in the paper for a certain price. After telling the salesman which truck he wanted, they sat down to do the paperwork.
The salesman handed the farmer the bill, and the farmer declared, "This isn't the price I saw!"
The salesman went on to tell the wise old farmer how he was getting extras such as power brakes, power windows, special tires etc. And that was what took the price up.

The farmer needed the truck badly, paid the price and went home.

A few months later, the salesman called up the farmer and said, "My son is in 4-H and he needs a cow for a project. Do you have any for sale?"
The farmer said, "Yes, I have a few cows, and I would sell for $500.00 apiece. Come look at them and take your pick." The salesman said he and his sonwould be right out.
After spending a few hours in the field checking out all the farmer's cows, the two decided on one and the salesman proceeded to write out a check for $500.00.
The farmer said--------"Now, wait a minute, that's not the final price of the cow. You're getting extras with it and you have to pay for that too."

Top 10 Longest Bridges in the World

A bridge is a structure built to span physical obstacles such as a body of water, valley, or road, for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle and to ease the traffic. Here we specified only about the longest bridge in china - Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge since china holds most of the top longest bridges in the world . Now, let's take a look at these top ten longest bridges in the world.

10. Seven Mile Bridge

The Seven Mile Bridge, in the Florida Keys, runs over a channel between the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Strait, connecting Key Vaca (the location of the city of Marathon, Florida) in the Middle Keys to Little Duck Key in the Lower Keys. Among the longest bridges in existence when it was built, it is one of the many bridges on US 1 in the Keys, where the road is called the Overseas Highway.

Top 10 Mass Graves

Revering the dead is a purely human ideal; unfortunately, it is only an ideal. There have been many occasions – scattered like ashes throughout history – where the dead have been treated less than favorably, sometimes downright improperly. Bodies were, in these haphazard and callous instances, not placed in a finished mahogany beneath a smooth slab of granite, but rather piled up like stacks of rotten meat. Each of these dead, lying like sardines in unlabeled cans, seem to die into a form of irrevocable anonymity. Perhaps though, remembering these individuals as part of a larger number is a way of remembering these individuals as one part of history we hope never repeats itself. In doing so, here are the top ten mass graves:

Maguindanao Massacre
Maguindanao-Massacre
Just 3 years ago, the most brutal mass-murder in journalistic history took place, in which at least 34 journalists were deliberately killed as casualties of political terrorism. There was tension in Maguindanao (a province of an island in the Philippines) as an election was underway; two rivaling members of the same party running for the same office. Vice Mayor Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu, who was filing his certificate of candidacy, received threats that his rivals (supporters of the Andal Ampatuan, Sr. family) would cut him up into little piece afterwards. Thinking a battalion of journalists would prevent such things from occurring, he invited 37 of them to accompany him. Unfortunately, they were no deterrent, as his caravan was stopped by 100 armed men who went on to slaughter all or most of Mangudadatu’s group in the most heinous of ways (e.g. women, some who were journalists, were raped and shot in the genitals). They were all set to be buried in a mass grave dug two days earlier (along with their vehicles), until they were caught in the act by a helicopter. A shovel found near the site bore the name Ampatuan. A total of 58 people were killed, a count which included – aside from an exceptionally high journalist count – Mangudadatu’s wife (who sent him a text upon recognizing the attackers as Ampatuan’s men), his two sisters, as well as some lawyers and aides.
