Religious Thought 45

Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear. Those who follow this path, resolving deep within themselves to seek Me alone, attain singleness of purpose. For those who lack resolution, the decisions of life are many-branched and endless.
- Bhagavad Gita 2:40-41

Nothing is born, nothing is destroyed. Away with your dualism, your likes and dislikes. Every single thing is just the One Mind. When you have perceived this, you will have mounted the Chariot of the Buddhas.
- Huang Po, Zen Teaching of Huang Po

Every prophet to the world came alone, within him carrying a hundred unseen worlds. The cosmos was charmed by his depth and folded itself into his modest frame. The foolish thought he was lonely and weak. With the King as his companion, how is he weak?
- Rumi

I am justified and acceptable to God even though there are in me sin, unrighteousness, and fear of death.
- Martin Luther

Great is the art of writing music or literature...But greater still is the art of bringing about one's regeneration.

Urban Camouflage

Blending right in: 'Urban camouflage' artist paints models from head-to-toe to hide them against taxis, bus seats... and a fruit and veg stall

It's difficult enough getting a bus seat at the best of times without having to check if these cunningly camouflaged commuters are on board.
Bus passengers were given a well-hidden surprise on this journey thanks to the cleverly painted subjects who had been especially coloured to completely blend in with their surroundings.
Only eagle-eyed travellers on the bus would have spotted the women on the back seat, whose torso, chest and thighs had been covered in paint the exact same shade of red as the bus seat she was using.
Doing anything for a free bus fare: Some commuters on this bus appeared completely unaware of the well-camouflaged traveller riding with them on the back seatDoing anything for a free bus fare: Some commuters on this bus appeared completely unaware of the well-camouflaged traveller riding with them on the back seat

Sooo Cute

10 Bizarre Creatures of the Amazon Rainforest

The fast-disappearing Amazon rainforest harbors some amazing creatures. Most of us have heard of vampire bats, piranhas and the anaconda, but among the forest’s inhabitants are weird and wonderful animals just as bizarre as the more famous ones, if not more so. Here are 10 of the most bizarre Amazon rainforest animals you’ve likely never heard of.
This relative of the raccoon has golden fur and a tail that can grip branches. Also called the honey bear, it lives in trees and mainly eats fruit. It uses its five inch-long tongue to grasp hanging fruit and also to lick nectar from flowers.
