इस मॉडल के पिस्टल से गोडसे ने की थी गांधी की हत्या

इस पिस्टल का इतिहास गांधी की हत्या से जुड़ा है। 30 जनवरी 1948 को नाथूराम गोडसे ने इसी मॉडल के पिस्टल से महात्मा गांधी पर गोलियां चलाई थी। गांधी की हत्या में इस्तेमाल किए गए M1934 बैरेटा पिस्टल का सीरियल नंबर था 606824। 
 
इटली की गन कंपनी बैरेटा द्वारा बनाया गया यह कॉम्पेक्ट सेमीऑटोमेटिक पिस्टल था, इसमें 9 एमएम( .380 कैलीबर) की गोली लगती थी।
 
कब शुरू हुई थी बैरेटा कंपनीः-
1526 में इटली में स्थापित यह कंपनी पहले सिर्फ गन बैरल बनाती थी। प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के दौरान हथियार की मांग बढ़ी तो बैरेटा ने 1915 में पिस्टल बनाना शुरू किया। इटली के फोर्स को यह कंपनी पिस्टल सप्लाई करने लगी।
 
इसके बाद बैरेटा विश्व के पिस्टल बनाने वाली बड़ी कंपनियों में शुमार हो गई। उसकी प्रतिद्वंदी कंपनी वाल्दर पीपी की पिस्टल इटली की सेना को पसंद आई। बैरेटा के सामने चुनौती थी कि वह उससे भी बेहतर पिस्टल बनाकर सेना को दे। इसी का परिणाम था M1934 पिस्टल।

बोतल का डिजाइन बदलकर कोका कोला हुआ था मालामाल

1915 में अमेरिका के बाजार में सभी शीतल पेय कंपनियों के बोतल एक ही जैसे दिखते थे इसलिए कोका कोला कंपनी ने खुद को बाज़ार में अलग दिखाने के लिए एक नए बोतल के बारे में सोचना शुरू किया।

कंपनी चाहती थी कि कोई उसे बोतल का ऐसा डिजाइन बनाकर दे, जिसे लोग अंधेरे में भी पहचान लें कि यह कोका कोला की बोतल है।

इस काम का जिम्मा लिया रूट ग्लास कंपनी ने। इसके डिजाइनर अर्ल आर डीन ने पहले कोका कोला का अर्थ खोजना शुरू किया। ईमेलिन फेयरबैंक्स मेमोरियल लाईब्रेरी के एक इंसाइक्लोपीडिया में उनको कोकोआ फल का चित्र मिला। उसी से प्रेरणा लेकर अर्ल ने बोतल को डिजाइन किया।

उस डिजाइन को अमेरिका में पेटेंट कराया गया। नए बोतल से कोका कोला को भविष्य में पहचान और पैसा, दोनों मिला।

कोका कोला की शुरूआतः-

 8 मई 1886 को एक फार्मासिस्ट डॉक्टर जॉन पम्बर्टन ने सरदर्द को ठीक करने का एक सीरप बनाया। एक जग सीरप लेकर वह अटलांटा गए और वहां जैकब फार्मेसी में उसे कार्बोनेटेड वाटर के साथ मिलाकर बेचना शुरू किया। पम्बर्टन के बिजनेस पार्टनर फ्रैंक रॉबिंसन ने इस दवा का नाम रखा कोका कोला। यह कोका कोला पांच सेंट में एक ग्लास दिया जाता था। 1888 में पम्बर्टन की मौत हो गई और वह नहीं देख पाए कि उनकी खोज ने भविष्य में कितनी बड़ी सफलता पाई।

इसे बेचने का अधिकार 1891 में जब ग्रिग्स कैंडलर ने खरीद लिया तब उन्होंने इसे कंपनी का रूप दिया। ग्रिग्स इस कंपनी के पहले प्रेसिडेंट थे। 

1894 में मिसिसीपी का एक दुकानदार जोसेफ ओ बाइदेनहार्न, इस शीतल सोडे से प्रभावित हुआ और उसने इसे बोतल में बंद कर बेचना शुरू किया।

ग्रिग्स कैंडलर को उसने इस बारे में बताया लेकिन कैंडलर ने कोका कोला को बोतल में बंदकर बेचने की योजना पर ध्यान नहीं दिया।

लेकिन, 1899 के बाद कोका कोला को बोतल में पैक कर पूरे अमेरिका में बेचा जाने लगा। कोका कोला नाम का नकल करके अन्य कंपनियां भी तब तक बाज़ार में उतर चुकी थी। सबके बोतल एक जैसे थे इसलिए असली कोका कोला ने अपने बोतल का अलग डिजाइन बनवाया और उसे पेटेंट करा लिया।

1915 के बाद 1930 तक आते-आते कोका कोला मल्टीनेशनल कंपनी में बदल चुकी थी और चालीस देशों में उसके प्लांट थे। द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध ने इसके व्यापार को और आगे बढ़ाया। 21वीं सदी में 200 से अधिक देशों में व्यापार करने वाली यह विश्व की एक ताकवतर मल्टीनेशनल कंपनी बन चुकी है।

इसी पेड़ से गिरा सेब और न्यूटन को मिला बहुत बड़ा ज्ञान

आप इस सेब के पेड़ को जानते हैं। बचपन में फिजिक्स की किताब में पढ़ा है इसके बारे में। 

यही वह पेड़ है जिसने भौतिकी विज्ञान को बहुत बड़ा ज्ञान दिया। गुरूत्वाकर्षण का सिद्धांत। न्यूटन ने इसी पेड़ से गिरते सेब को देखकर  सिद्धांत के बारे में सोचना शुरू किया था। 

न्यूटन ने सेब के गिरने से प्रेरणा लेने की बात अपने मित्र फ्रेंच दार्शनिक वॉल्टेयर को बताई थी। अन्य लोगों के अलावा न्यूटन ने यह बात अपने एसिस्टेंट जॉन कनड्युट को भी बताई थी जिन्होंने 1726 में इस बात का जिक्र एक पत्र में किया। 

इस पत्र में लिखा था- न्यूटन के अंदर गुरूत्वाकर्षण का विचार तब आया जब उन्होंने एक सेब को पेड़ से गिरते देखा।

पेड़ से सेब गिरने की घटना 1666 में हुई थी। सबसे पहले 1752 में छपे अपने बॉयोग्राफी में न्यूटन के दोस्त विलियम स्टुकेले ने इस घटना को लिखा।

एडमंड टर्नर ने 1806 में अपनी किताब, 'ए हिस्टरी ऑफ द टाउन एंड सोक ऑफ ग्रांथम' में लिखा कि- वह सेब का पेड़ अभी भी है  जिसे लोग देखने आते हैं।

उस पेड़ का रेखाचित्र एडमंड टर्नर के भाई चार्ल्स टर्नर ने 1820 में बनाई जो यह बताती है कि लिंकोनशायर के वुल्सथोर्प मैनर हाउस के पास वह सेब का पेड़ है। इसी घर में न्यूटन का जन्म हुआ था।

हलांकि न्यूटन ने यह नहीं बताया था कि किस पेड़ से सेब गिरते उन्होंने देखा था। लेकिन, वुल्सथोर्फ मैनर हाउस के पास सिर्फ एक ही सेब का पेड़ था इसलिए इसमें किसी को शक नहीं रहा कि यही वह पेड़ था।

इस पेड़ की रखवाली 1733 से 1947 तक मैनर हाउस में रहनेवाले वूलरटन फैमिली करती रही। अब यह जगह इंग्लैंड के नेशनल ट्रस्ट के पास है।

Skulls are an interesting part of the skeleton, because they give us an idea of what the face of its owner was like. Starchild Skull

This skull was apparently found in Mexico around 1930 but only showed to the public by Lord Pye in 1999. It was claimed to either be the skull of an alien infant or an alien-human hybrid. Although the damaged lower skull was child-like, the upper cranium was huge, being 1600mL, over 400mL larger than would be expected based on the lower skull. Pye claimed that radiocarbon dating had proved it was 900 years old and that anonymous scientists had confirmed it to be the skull of an alien. However, independent DNA testing revealed the skull to be Native American, belonging to a child who probably had hydrocephalus, or ‘water-in-the-brain’, a congenital disorder where there is too much fluid in the skull. Sufferers of this condition can develop abnormally large craniums, although modern medicine can now relieve the fluid pressure with cerebral shunts to drain the excess liquid.
