Amazing Church Photography by Trey Ratcliff

The Lonely Church
In the Christian religion; a church building is a building or structure whose primary purpose is to facilitate the meeting of a Christian Church. Originally, Jewish Christians met in synagogues, such as the Cenacle, and in one another’s homes, known as house churches. Church pictorial directories are one of the most important elements in a church congregation. It allows the large community to interact and know each other well by merely looking up one another’s names. The whole congregation values church photo directories as priceless possessions because of their amazing benefits. The innovations in the field of photography paved the way for more photographers to come up and produce these directories. Churches are full of dramatic architecture and intriguing art which makes for excellent fodder for a photographer of any skill level. But there are considerable limitations you may face when photographing in a church. Low lighting, access issues, ISO speeds, exposure times, and aperture must all be carefully considered when shooting inside a church. The first step to taking great indoor church images is to be sure you have permission to shoot inside the church. Take a look!
